Visual/Communications Designer - Benchling
We’re seeking a communication designer who is passionate about design and wants to work on a meaningful product! Your job will be to help us communicate and evolve our brand through the creation of sales and customer success collateral, campaign ideation, and digital experiences. You’ll play an integral role in growing our business, culture and brand.
The ideal candidate will:
- have a portfolio showcasing excellent typographic, branding, and illustration skills
- be comfortable with UX/UI Design, demonstrated through strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- be strongly opinionated and comfortable working in a highly collaborative team
- constantly seek and provide feedback to improve the quality of our work
- have a great understanding of how copywriting lends to the tone of the brand
- have 3+ years work experience
Your responsibilities will be to:
- work closely with our Commercial Team to communicate Benchling’s brand across different channels - email campaigns, brand assets, landing pages, etc
- collaborate with our Product Designer to develop a consistent visual identity for Benchling across Product and Marketing
- see creative concepts through from conception to implementation, from moodboards to guidelines to development
- help instill a culture of design! We highly value the role of design at Benchling and want to further develop that in our workplace
At Benchling, we aim to make life science research faster and more collaborative. Biotechnology has the potential to solve humanity’s most pressing challenges, such as disease, renewable energy, clean water, and hunger. The brightest minds are working on these problems but they are equipped with archaic tools. We aspire to fix this and increase the rate of scientific output with a platform for researchers to design and run experiments, analyze data, and share results.
