You’ll have ownership over your work, and will be influential in driving the overall growth and success of Bluecore.

Role:
We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Delivery Pipeline squad, building our end-to-end delivery pipelines and the 10+ Email Service Provider integrations we maintain. Many of this team’s key contributions focus around coordinating the results of campaign executions and personalization options, in order to create 1:1 personalized emails for our client's customers and drive higher ROI from their marketing campaigns. There are several deep technical challenges headed up by this team, including fan-out and fan-in processes for recommendation and email generation and "at most once" delivery of emails.

Our Delivery Pipeline team members have established themselves as a critical component to the success of Bluecore’s products/platform. They’ve successfully led several major initiatives with considerable company-wide impacts, such as rebuilding our email pipeline for simplicity and extensibility, as well as migrating it onto Google Kubernetes Engine, resulting in substantial cost savings and higher volume throughput. As our client base has grown, we have an increasing need to deliver higher volumes of personalized emails, quickly and efficiently. The Delivery Pipeline team is focusing on upgrading key components of our email delivery infrastructure in a microservice architecture, to ensure scalability, portability, and maintainability in some of our most critical infrastructure. This has involved rewriting services for rate limiting, distributed counters, recommendation engines, and email generation in order to scale with our growing needs.

It's not enough to develop systems that handle our ever-increasing scale, it's also essential that we do so with high-performance, rock solid code. Reliability is another important piece to the puzzle, and we adopt Site-Reliability Engineering principles for automating deployments and observability at scale. You’ll be an influential leader, actively coding while simultaneously helping your team design and implement technical solutions, as well as sourcing and onboarding new technologies to the team.
