Business Development Representative - Illumio

As an Illumio BDR (Business Development Representative), you are a master of building pipeline (Sales Qualified Leads) within specific geographies, market segments and/or campaigns. You leverage emails, calls, and social selling tools to convert cold-prospects, sales manager account targets and marketing sources leads into Sales Qualified Leads. You love customer conversations, evangelizing brands, and are passionate about the cyber security field.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities to fuel Illumio’s Enterprise and Mid-Market pipeline and growth in North America.
• Utilize business and industry knowledge to research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, create/identify compelling events.
• Team up with sales managers and partners to develop targeted account lists, call strategies to develop SQLs in territory.
• Collaborate with marketing program managers to develop campaign follow-up strategies and content to convert marketing leads into SQLs.
• Outbound prospecting to companies via social selling, cold calling, email, marketing campaigns, etc.
• Work to have 5+ touches for all leads (Call, Email) on all leads in your territory
• Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Illumio’s product suite.
• Manage, track, and report on all activities and results using Salesforce.
• Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Illumio’s product suite.
• Exceed monthly/quarterly quotas for Sales Qualified Leads (Qualified Meetings).

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 1-4+ years of experience in Sales and pipeline development
• Ability to work in a high-energy business/sales develop team environment; team player
• Cold-calling experience.
• Knowledge of business process, roles, and organizational structure.
• Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, and strong writing skills.
• A self-starter with a track record of successful, credible achievements.
• Passionate about technology, business, and winning.
• Proficient in using Salesforce and LinkedIn.
• Interested in building a career in sales and/or marketing.
• 4-year College degree required, MBA a Plus.
