About the role

Kajabi is looking for a copywriter to join our in-house brand team. The brand team is responsible for elevating Kajabi into an iconic brand that creators and entrepreneurs love and trust.

We’re looking for a talented and versatile copywriter who can write, manage, and elevate our voice in copy across a variety of creative and marketing campaigns. You’ll report to our lead copywriter and collaborate with designers and marketers to create inspiring work that’s sometimes emotional and inspiring and other times educational and informative — be that for a brand campaign, landing page, product launch film, social content or email that speaks to our creators. If you're obsessed with writing short, rhythmic copy with a fun voice/tone, have a heart for storytelling and a hunger to write for an iconic brand, this is the role for you.

The impact you will make

• Work with designers and marketers across a variety of projects to ideate and craft messaging and ideas for videos, product launches, case studies, ad campaigns, social content, and more.
• Write and create impactful work that reflects Kajab’s brand’s voice and adheres to the brand’s style guidelines.
• Gather learnings and insights from platforms, consumer feedback and culture to create copy and concepts rooted in strategic thinking, resonates with our audience, and inspires creators to join Kajabi.
• Understand and process feedback in order to craft the right narrative and articulate reasoning behind creative decisions.
• Deliver work within established schedules communicating every step of the way especially if an unexpected delay that effects delivery is encountered
• Set the bar high on creative execution and get there fast without sacrificing quality for speed and effectiveness.
• Keep up to date with the latest trends, as well as new tools, techniques, and software. 
• Develop a deep understanding of creators’ mindsets, attitudes, behaviors, and needs to inform strong empathetic and strategic executions.

Attributes for success

• At least 4 years of experience as a writer at an agency or in-house at a brand.
• A standout creative portfolio that demonstrates your ability to come up with great ideas and amazing copy, along with the craft skills and attention to detail to execute superbly across a variety of mediums.
• You're an expert at short-form copy that can get people energized in a few, pithy words. You create great copy from a single image, short video or simple idea. You love alliterations, worldplay, even puns.
• You're able to quickly pick up a brand's voice and understand the way the tone and voice flex across the brand. You never shy away from asking questions, learning new things or sharing your ideas.
• You've worked in high-paced, iterative creative environments before. You have experience writing 100+ lines in a short sprint, incorporating feedback and creating fresh batches of copy on a tight turnaround.
• Clear and effective communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive working independently as well as on a team when needed.
• You're an owner. You're accountable for your own work and handle setbacks and challenges head on. You continually seek feedback to improve and gladly share the reasoning behind your work.

Bonus if you have

• Experience working in the creator economy or with creators and entrepreneurs.
• Experience working on tech brands.
• Have experience with Figma.
