Software Engineer, Full-Stack (Growth Engineering) - Replit

About the role:
Replit has grown to millions of users via word of mouth and strong organic presence. However, there's so much value to be provided to our users through each step of their journey (from onboarding all the way to a finished product).
Software Engineers on the Growth team enable our users to unlock Replit's product capabilities (computing superpowers) and help supercharge our growth. You'll be coming in at Ground Zero and helping us build a growth muscle to crawl, walk, and run.
Things you might do:
• Build a new economy on the platform, allowing users to buy extra resources; take this farther, empowering users to reward each other and monetize the wonderful ideas that our community creates.
• Help users find anything on our platform, whether connecting with peers or finding their next source of inspiration.
• Give our community members a sense of identity on Replit, by iterating on profiles that users feel proud of.
You will:
• Work with our growth product manager and business development team to connect users with Replit's core value of giving people computer superpowers
• Champion a data driven and experimentation mentality - ship fast, iterate quickly, and learnWork closely with the growth team on data, tooling, and growth infrastructure to help us iterate quickly
• Work with rest of the Product Engineering team to understand the product and how growth can connect users to the product
• Work across the codebase, improving user experience and unlocking value from onboarding to a published project
• Scope, own, and execute on eng projects that are both optimizations (1% better every day) and big bets (radical 10x ideas) to maximize impact
You are:
• A self starter with a strong sense of ownership, and the curiosity to ask “why?”
• Resilient. Many experiments fail, but the drive comes from the learning
• A Fullstack fundamentalist and technical generalist who has an understanding of different parts of the product, code, and platform and how they play together
• Someone who enjoys focusing on quick tests that compound to help achieve long term growth
• Analytical and you understand business metrics. You prioritize and internalize data driven decisions for the growth of the business
• Collaborative and love communicating engineering challenges and connecting it to the business and product vision
Your experience includes:
• Full-stack expertise. Our stack includes:
‣ Postgres
‣ Node.js,
‣ Next.js and GraphQL
‣ Typescript React
• A tolerance for (or even excitement about) CSS
Bonus Points:
• Experience working with or on a Growth Engineering team
• Experience with a/b testing and experiment analysis
• Early employee at prev startup
• Expert React.js and GraphQL programmer
• Built a tool and grew it
• Experience building a developer tool (it can be personal dev)
• Experience w/SEO
