What you’ll do
Stripe is building a world class Treasury Capital Management team with a goal of driving capital efficiency across Stripe’s products and growth initiatives. We’re looking for a creative, smart, and driven individual to join our Treasury Capital Management team. We are seeking a talented Data Analyst, with a specific focus on automating manual processes, particularly those managed through Google Sheets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science and analytics, coupled with experience in process automation within the financial services industry. In addition, candidates should have experience building and deploying capital management frameworks and working closely with business and product owners to steer the business towards capital efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and interpersonal skills combined with the desire to work closely with product and regional leads.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Treasury Capital Management stakeholders to identify and understand manual processes currently managed tactically and develop automated solutions using data science techniques to streamline and optimize these processes
- Take the lead in preparing Stripe’s international capital plans, supporting materials and documentation, incorporating automation enhancements, data capture efficiencies, etc.
- Coordinate with regional Treasury-Finance teams to support regional and legal entity specific capital planning process
- Maintain Liquidity, Funding and Equity Policies and EMEA Risk Appetite Statement
- Collaborate with Capital Management leads, data science and engineering teams to enhance visibility and reporting of Stripe financial risk metrics (FX, interest rate, liquidity, etc.)
- Execute financial counterparty risk reviews and uplevel the process from a data flow perspective
- Execute Quarterly Risk Control Self Assessments (“RCSA”)
- Work with T-FIN leads, engineering and data science teams to design, document and build Stripe’s target state architecture for capital planning and capital attribution
- Build and maintain tools to monitor sources and uses of capital to ensure appropriate deployment of resources
- Provide analytical rigor, develop financial models to forecast and optimize capital utilization across Stripe’s business units, geographies, and users
- Nurture deep, trusted partnerships with growth and product teams across Stripe to shape capital-efficient decision-making
Who you are

Minimum requirements
- 5+ years of experience in one or more of: Treasury, capital management, stress testing, data science or engineering
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- A proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships and lead cross-functional efforts with diverse stakeholders including finance, data science, engineering, risk and product teams
- A love of numbers, coding and systems!
- An enthusiastic “roll up your sleeves” mentality
- The ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment
- An inclination to solve problems systematically via infrastructure and automation.
- A builder's mindset with a willingness to question assumptions and conventional wisdom.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred qualifications
- Technical experience with SQL, Google Sheets and Python is a strong plus
- Experience with SQL or a willingness to learn is a strong plus
