Principal Product Manager - Marketing Technology - SumUp

Location: Berlin or Paris, hybrid work model

As a Principal Product Manager for the MarTech squad, your role is central to bridging marketing objectives with software engineering excellence. You'll be steering a team of talented engineers and data engineers, focusing on the development, deployment, and refinement of marketing technology solutions. Your mission involves leveraging data and technology to enhance SumUp's capabilities in customer acquisition and retention, ensuring our software tools and platforms effectively contribute to our growth objectives. By collaborating closely with both marketing and technical teams, you will guide the creation and iteration of software products that power our marketing strategies. Your insights and leadership will ensure that our projects not only meet but exceed performance benchmarks, driving continuous improvement in our online marketing channels. Your work will directly impact SumUp's ability to harness technology for scalable, data-driven growth, aligning product development with the company's strategic goals.

What you’ll do 

• Optimize Marketing Spend: direct the analysis and optimization of marketing channels with data-driven insights to ensure strategic allocation of marketing budget
• Boost Performance Analytics: oversee the visualization and analysis of marketing tech performance, delivering insights for optimization
• Enhance Marketing Efficiency: utilize advanced techniques including AI, predictive analytics, and multi-touch attribution to improve marketing effectiveness
• Lead with Vision: define and manage quarterly OKRs, develop strategic roadmaps, and initiate experiments for innovation.
• Collaborate Globally: act as a central figure in collaborating with stakeholders in 30 countries and coordinating with other product teams for synergistic success

You'll be great for this position if 

• You have 9+ years of experience in product management in leading international tech companies 
• You have deep domain knowledge and experience in Marketing Technology, Performance Marketing or CRM and you are familiar with CDP 
• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions
• You have strong analytical skills and are able to balance qualitative and quantitative insights to make the right business decisions
• You have a solid understanding of the majority of the following digital marketing areas: search engine optimization, customer segmentation, paid search, social media, paid media, email marketing, lead generation, and web optimization
