We founded Yugabyte after developing business-critical databases at Facebook & Oracle. Experts from Google, Microsoft & Nutanix have since joined to help us realize our vision for YugabyteDB, an open source, cloud native, distributed SQL database. Powered by a high-performance, globally-distributed document store inspired by Google Spanner, we are in position to lead the NewSQL market as businesses small and global alike transition to more resilient and scalable cloud technologies.

As a Performance Engineer, you will be build, execute and analyze tests with complex workloads for core database product with a vision of high performance and scalability. You will drive the performance improvements in YugabyteDB by sharing the contextual performance knowledge and conclusions with the internal teams. And by sharing benchmark results on blog and other forums, you will also be an advocate for YugabyteDB performance to the external world. Performance engineering also helps convert performance-sensitive prospects into customers.
